Satnam Dhooper
Satnam oversees the procurement of construction services for developing new and existing stores and depots. He manages a vast supply chain network, including main contractors, cost consultants, architects, and global equipment manufacturers. Satnam also possesses extensive experience in overseeing sourcing activities for mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration packages, and has played a key role in launching the electrical charging business, Smart Charge.
Earlier in Satnam’s career, after graduating, he started as a trainee accountant at Arthur Anderson, then transitioned to CCG International, where he managed the global procurement and distribution of oil refinery equipment before joining Sainsbury’s. Satnam has been part of several procurement teams at Sainsbury's that have earned accolades from organisations such as CIPS, Hacket Group, and the World Procurement Awards. Satnam also serves as a Member Nominated Director for Sainsbury’s Pension Scheme.
