As co-founder of Action Sustainability, Ian is a distinguished leader in sustainable business, with a career spanning several decades. Since 1991, Ian has successfully launched and managed multiple thriving skills and construction-related ventures. His extensive expertise in supply chain dynamics and the launch of www.supplychainschool.co.uk in the UK in 2012 was part of his ambition to reach the multi-layered and extensive supply chain within the UK’s constriction and infrastructure sector and provide a supplier development programme at scale for a whole industry. In 2024 the School has engaged and educated almost 50,000 people from 7,000 businesses.

Under Ian’s leadership, Action Sustainability - the company that together with leading construction contractors, created the Supply Chain School - has become a leading authority in sustainable supply chain management, earning them a Queen’s Award for Sustainable Development in 2022. His team specialises in working with clients eager to explore innovative solutions and achieve their sustainability goals, offering expert business advice, training, and practical tools that transform supply chains and drive meaningful sustainability outcomes.
